Photographer’s Note

A little lakeside house I always admired, it´s about 100 years old. Today in the morning it was very cold, a thin layer of fog was dancing on the water and the trees were covered with ice crystals.

una ambientazione da poesia o favola. Cosi' come presentata la foto assume quasi un tono surreale e veramente bello a vedersi. La composizione parla da se e urla tutta la sua bellezza avvolta da quella nebbiolina che ti ha fatto un regalo grande grande! Luce gestita bene e fotografia riuscita davvero bene!

Hi Christian I do like it.
Had the surface been frozen, it would have been a landscape from the Tales of Narnia. I like the hoar-frost on the trees it really emphasises a true winter image.

Einfach traumhaft, wie im Maerchen! Toll der feine Nebel ueber dem Wasser und der gepuderte Wald mit der kleinen Villa direkt am See. Mensch, das ist mein Traumhaus :) Welchem Glueckspilz gehoert denn diese Trouvaille? Irres Foto in blau-weiss und was fuer ein Uebergang ins neue Jahr. Schoener Abend + gutes Rueberhuepfen mit viel Champagner und so. Barbara.

Hello, Christian -

A good capture of a winter scene. I particularly like the touch of light on the building. The capture of the mist off the lake is also well done; not easy to get that.

The overall monochrome does bother me, though I understand how it works in this view.

Hallo Christian,
ich habe das stimmungsvolle Bild übersehen. Toll, die Sonnenkringel auf der gelben Gebäudeseite. Und der Nebel mit der Sonne, magisch. Das Gebäude ist vermutlich saufeucht und deshalb verlassen. Ich bin dieser klassizistischen Architektur im ganzen K&K Imperium, von Galizien bis Korfu begegnet. Sehr gut gemacht, Christian.

Beautifully captured scene Christian. The monochromic color scheme gives the photo a very "wintery" mood. The light on the house creates just enough warmth to give this photo some life.

how not to admire this one. It is a jewel, yes. I could talk about great POV and composition but it is that mystic touch of lazy haze glazing over the lake surface that creates such a fairy-tale feeling. Absoltely beautiful.

This is stunning Christian!
I love the cold blue colors and the morning mist that makes the water looks like it is boiling.
It is quite a beautiful house as well, but it looks like it isn't used.

this is a marvelous one
but a few suggestions if you at all like
a bit more crop in the foreground &
a bit more inclusion in the top would have made this shot a masterpiece
