Photographer's Note

Giant Ferris Wheel (Riesenrad)
It is quite an adventure to climb on the Riesenrad. It soars 65 m (213 ft) up in the sky and is the oldest Ferris wheel in the Prater. It was erected between 1896-97 and designed by the English engineer Walter Basset. The Riesenrad is open year round and rewards the visitor with splendid view over the city of Vienna
