Photographer's Note

The Wiener Riesenrad (German for "Viennese giant wheel"), or Riesenrad, is a 64.75-metre (212 ft) tall Ferris wheel at the entrance of the Prater amusement park in Leopoldstadt, the 2nd district of Austria's capital Vienna. It is now one of Vienna's most popular tourist attractions, and symbolises the district as well as the city for many people.
Erected in 1897 to celebrate Emperor Franz Josef I's golden Jubilee, it is one of the earliest Ferris Wheels of the world.
Not as tall as London Eye, still interesting with its restaurant cabins.

I like very much the framing of this photo. In spite of being cropped the wheel still looks impressive from this point of view and its angle, shape, patterns and lights make a strong impact. Well done and thank you!

Excellent view and whell placing within the frame. Only the two bright blue-white light are disturbing a little bit.

These giant Ferris wheels are popping up all over the world: London, Tokyo, Wuxi, Brisbane, and here. A superb upward pov & good sharpness for a nocturnal shot. Excellent pp work that has eliminated most of the noise & grain. Tfs!

I like this Viennesse giant wheelphotograph it is more effective and magical with the night time lighting and lights around the wheel. I like the bluey silver light of the tall supports.

Hello Engin,

i always wanted to visit Vienna. The Wiener Riesenrad is very famous.

The illuminated structure is outstanding, especially the blue flash lights. I could never get such a steady image with 1/8 seconds exposure, my respects, well done!
