Photographer’s Note

Der kleine rund 600 Seelen zählende Ort am Österreichischen Innufer wird erstmals um das Jahr 1170 erwähnt und deutet auf ein kleines Kirchlein hin.

Die alte Wallfahrtskirche "Maria Himmelfahrt" wurde 1484 - 1489 als gotischer Tuffsteinbau mit 45 m hohem Turm und barocker Innenausstattung errichtet.

Die Wallfahrt kam mit dem Verbot durch Kaiser Josef II. fast zum Erliegen. Erst durch die wunderbare Heilung von Frau Aloisia Aigner am 8. Nov. 1900 lebte diese für einige Jahre wieder auf.
Aus Dankbarkeit und zur Erinnerung an dieses Ereignis wurde 1901 die Lourdeskapelle im neugotischen Stil vom Linzer Dombaumeister Schlager errichtet.

Czesc Jurek,
Uwielbiam takie kompzycje z hektarami niebieskiego nieba. Sam kosciol robi wrazenie swoimi rozmiarami oraz bardzo ciekawym wygladem. Bardzo ladnie pokazane.

Guten Abend Georg!
Ein sehr schönes Bild eines sehr eindrucksvollen Gebäudes! Der Turm zeigt wirklich wie ein Finger nach oben. Dein Standort fürs Foto hätte nicht besser gewählt werden können. Das Gsanze ist wirklich irgendwie besonders beeindruckend.

Hi Georg,
You have found a very good place to take this picture, so you can include some fields and houses far away but absolutely no cars. In other words, there is a unique timeless feel here. And the curch is very beautiful as such and you photo is well composed.

Bonjour Georg,
une très belle église qui se dresse bien au dessus du reste, dans ce paysage plat at rural. Une exposition parfaite de ce batiment, mais aussi un beau rendu de cette plage ensoleillée d'un joli vert à l'avant plan.
Tout cela est très esthétique et bien cadré.

fajna ta dzwonnica, niczym dobrze naostrzony olowek a calosc wyglada bardzo dostojnie jak na gotycka swiatynie przystalo. Mocny punkt miejscowosci skoro w nazwie jest Kirch dorf.

a fine presentation of this church that is located as you show it almost in the fields.I like the superb clarity of the scene as the grass that surround it.The colour management and the bell tower outlined perfect against the blue sky.Well done.

Podoba mi się ta przestrzeń wokół tego typu obiektów. Na pomorzu jest wiele świetnych kościołów, ale wokoło jest tak ciasno, że ciężko cokolwiek zaprezentować.

Je ne puis m'empêcher de faire un arrêt sur image sur cette splendide composition. J'aime les cathédrales, mais, surtout les églises villageoises qui possèdent une âme. L'ambiance générée dans cette composition est du plus bel effet.
