Photographer’s Note
The tiled Mihrab of a mosque in Linz/Austria. I´m doing a Practical Training at a Secondary Modern School in Linz right now, and I visited (with the children) a mosque, the synagogue and the cathedral.
A mihrab is a small niche. Every mosque has a Mihrab - it shows the direction of the holy town Mecca. The believers must turn to this direction when they pray.

Hi Gisi,
It's very nice, for its simplicity, both the place and the compo. That red carpet is r and also the lack of sharpness, but I guess that the light conditions didn't help you.
By coincidence I am reading an auto-biography by a Pakistani young woman (Sabatina) that lived in Linz. She went into much trouble with her family because she wanted to live like a common Austrian girl, to the point of having been sentenced to death by some Muslim authorities and now she lives hidden fearing to be found. I hope that such stories are not so common.
Regards, José.

A good POV on this Mihrab(what is a Mirhab, by the way! ;D) with well chosen vertical framing, nice light, colors andtiles textures...
Greetings

thanks for sharing . your photo is also a good example of preace and freedom of religion globally. it s a pity there was so small light inside, so the upper part of photo seems darker
