This is the Franciscan Monastery in Graz (Styria)

The onion domed spire of the Franciscan Monastery on the river Mur is one of the stand-out features of the city. Like the Town Hall it is easily discernible from the Schlossberg, and in fact frames well with that building in photographs. It's Gothic architecture dates back to the 14th century, but it has had many additions and refurbishments. The interior was completely redesigned after a bomb gutted it during World War II. Riverside buildings were always at greater risk to old bombers guiding themselves by obvious geographical features.

Graz with a population of 291,574 as of 2009 (of which 255,354 have principal residence status), is the second-largest city in Austria after Vienna and the capital of the federal state of Styria
Graz has a long tradition as a student city: its six universities have more than 44,000 students. Graz's "Old Town" is one of the best-preserved city centres in Central Europe. In 1999, it was added to the UNESCO list of World Cultural Heritage Sites. Graz was sole Cultural Capital of Europe for 2003

Bela foto urbana de um dos países mais bonitos da Europa. Infelizmente nunca lá fui com câmara digital (e as outras eram de fraca qualidade).
Não dá para perceber muito bem a "city beach" na parte inferior.

Namaste Aires, a fascinating shot once again. The monastery looks great with almost silhoueted tree in FG. The bridge looks great with colourful people. Focusing of the tomb is excellent. Tfs.

A very nice view, an imge rich in various details, contrasts and especially colors very well colected. The superb color of the church and the houses arise very well under this beautiful blue sky. The tree on the right give a great depht to the image.

The light is splendid and with the shades in FG, it created a great contrast! The monastery tower is nicely illuminated and stands out well against the sky.
I like the fact you've included the tree which embellishes the image!Yes, this colorful city seems to be worth a visit!

This is a great shot of this monastery with its bright yellow tower providing contrast for the scene. The lighting and colors are great with excellent sharpness and detail. The dark trees in the foreground provides nice contrast for the brightly lit buildings.
