Hello Ewa,
This is a wonderful shot of the famous staircase at Melk Abbey. I have always known about it, but and once saw an old photo of it. You've chosen a superior vantage point to take the photo, showing the swirling pattern. In my book, "Math and the Mona Lisa," that I wrote three years ago, I mentioned such circular staircases making logarithmic spirals. There is a double helical spiral like it in the Vatican Museum, inspired by a design from Leonardo, and I actually used in the book. Would you allow me to use this photo in my lectures in the United States and Europe. If so, would you send me a high resolution version to my email address: batalay@umw.edu
I am a professor physics in the United States and an artist. If you get a chance take a look at my Intro page.
With warm wishes, and congratulations on this spectacular shot of the staircase at Melk Abbey.
