Lockenhaus - the village and the mounts Photo

Photographer’s Note

Lockenhaus (Hungarian: Léka, see the map left) is a village with about 2000 inhabitants in the federal state of Burgenland, famous mainly for the medieval knight's castle (see my previous photos) and Kremerata Musica (festival for classical music founded by Gidon Kremer).
Lockenhaus is situated in the Mountains of Kőszeg (German: Günsergebirge), since 1996 nature conservation zone on both Austrian and Hungarian side.

Eine wunderschöne Mittelgebirgslandschaft zeigst Du uns hier. Der Farbsättigung zwischen Licht- und Schattenbereich ist sehr interessant hier. Du hast diese Lichtprobleme gut gemeistert! Man möchte ins Bild hineinsteigen ... ;-)

WWWWWooooooh can you think that I was there a couple times, the first time I visited a happening - a concert with a Russian piano player in an old castle, it was on summer of 1983 I do not remember me any more the name of the castle. It was a great evening there!
I know Burgenland and Hungarian music and meals from there!-:))
Thanks for share it to remember something from my past.

I love the golden brown colours in this shot, and the gentle light.There is just enough contrast between foreground and background to create depth without being 'overdone'
A lovely landscape.

Hi Laszlo,
I don't remember having been to Burgenland but that church bulb tells Austria at once, I like the fall colors to be seen on this picture and the use of light to differentiate the plans, possibly the second one could need a bit of contrast boost but I'm currently viewing it on a bad screen.

Itt osztom Attila véleményét és egyet is értek a ws-jával. Az ég ttényleg viágos, az erdő viszont szerintem kicsit sötétebb a kelleténél.
Egyébként csodálatos panoráma, nagyon jól néz néz ki az őszi erdő az faluval és a templomtoronnyal!

questa mi era sfuggita. Un panorama autunnale stupendo, che fa piacere vederlo, specialmente in inverno quando mancano i colori. Tra la tua versione ed il WS di Attila credo che una via di mezzo possa essere la soluzione migliore. Comunque la foto resta molto bella. Complimenti.

Szépen kihoztad a színeket. Azon gondolkodtam, hogy kompozíció szempontjából nem lett volna-e előnyösebb a templomépületet a jobb harmadba hozni, (bár nem tudom, mi volt arrafele).
