Just for a change from my latest uploads from arround Bulgaria, I decided to post this last december photo from Andorra, where I was on one day bus trip from France. I learned that the inhabitants of this nice looking capital are 1000 people.

Andorra is a co-principality (Spain & France) in a wide valley of the Pyrenees Mountains. At an altitude of 1200 meters it offers a comfortable, dry climate. Its river and natural thermal springs made it attractive to the Romans. It has a rich and traditional history – the Casa de la Calle (equivalent to Town Hall) in Andorra-la-Vela contains a high wooden cupboard stacked with local records said to date back to Charlemagne. The national anthem contains a reference to Charlemagne “to free the land from Moorish rule”.

Andorra is a tax-free country and offers great tax-free shopping (for example: a promotion of 3 Lindt 300 gram chokolates and a bottle of French Champagne wine - altogether for 3 euro). They say that you can visit a state of the art spa - this crystal obelisk-like building, which I had not the time to visit...

Hi Anton!
Beautiful landscape with nice composition. The shot may be benefited from more contrast.
Tfs.

Hi Anton,
why did you cut a piece of the lower part of the foreground and didn't cut a piece of sky?but still your shot is very nice and have an excellent blue sky with vivid colours.Impressive this strange building(tower).Well done.
Regards,Danos

Hi Anton, This is a place i'd not heard of until seeing your photo. The composition is good showing the busy town and how over the years buildings are built higher up the large hill. Good clarity and colours. Murray.
