Another shot from my collection of slate roofs of Andorra.
This is an old roof with very large thick slabs of slate. The rust colour reflects the bent iron nails which hold each slab in place.
All buildings in Andorra have a slate roof, which is required. Slate is a local material and often when climbing in the mountains an area of crumbling slate layers protrudes.
I climbed up close to the roof to try and get a shot where the roof filled the scene. I think that worked. Getting down didn't work as well as I slipped and fell, scratching my camera but not myself. Photography can be as dangerous as skiing when not done right. |

I hope the camera has been repair......
We must have the explanation that comes with the picture to appreciat it. Or may be like when we are locking at a Picasso we let our imagination work.
I like it.

That's a very instructive shot about building a roof with natural material. It must be special to see a hole city built with that type of roof. Nice clear picture.
I like this more than your other slate roof
photo. Maybe its because of perspective, or
because this has no shadow, or panorama shape.
