Photographer’s Note
In Andorra, almost all of the houses have a slate roof. In fact, by law, all new houses must be built with the traditional slate roof. At first glance, the slates all look dull and black, but if you look more closely, they aren't really black but reflect the blue sky and the other colours of the surrounding landscape.

I also did a monochrome version which I uploaded as a workshop.

It's a beautiful pattern, Peter, of beautiful tiles. Nice angle, colors and textures. very well seen, captured and done.

Good pattern you've captured here. At first I thought it was slightly over exposed, but the tiles seem to have their own iridescent glow which I like a lot.
The shadows are a pattern of their own. Well captured.

I like this shot a lot because I could have totally think that this is a close up of some animal's skin and note a roof.
I like frames that throw you out of context.

Great pattern shot. I don't think the monochrome version is anywhere near as good, slate is a wonderful substance with many subtle colours. You've captured that well.

Excellent use of light and shade in this clever shot. Perfectly cropped and framed. I think this colour version has much more life than the B&W.
