Photographer's Note

The church of Sant Climent de Pal is the most important exponent of the historical and is dated between the late eleventh and early twelfth magnifications of modern times. The plant is a rectangular nave and retains a significant part of the Romanesque walls. The present apse is square (XVII and XVIII centuries) and replaced the original Romanesque.
The Lombard-style bell tower has three floors of mullioned windows. The upper floor are double geminate unique in Andorra.
Inside remains a font of granite, a Romanesque statue of the Virgin of the Remei (XIII century), two processional crosses and painted wooden altar dedicated to Pope Saint Clement, patron saint of the church (1709).

La iglesia de Sant Climent de Pal es el exponente más relevante del conjunto histórico y está fechada entre finales del siglo XI y principios del XII con ampliaciones de época moderna. La planta es de nave rectangular y conserva una parte importante de los muros románicos. El ábside actual es cuadrado (siglos XVII y XVIII) y sustituyó al original románico.
El campanario de estilo lombardo tiene tres pisos de ventanas geminadas. Las del piso superior son geminadas dobles, únicas en Andorra.
En el interior se conserva una pila bautismal de granito, una talla románica de la Mare de Déu del Remei (siglo XIII), dos cruces procesionales de madera policromada y un retablo dedicado al papa Sant Climent, santo titular de la iglesia (1709).

the architecture of this ancient tower is a very interesting. Great composition, great sharpness to see details. Good POV, exposure, managemnet of light. Great image.

Dobar dan.
Stara kamena kula i pogled sa terase na mesto, dobar rad, lepe fotografije.
Terasa sa klupama i lep pogled, dobra kompozicija.
Dobar ugao snimka i ostrina, dobar prikaz arhitekture, lepo je.
Prijatan dan sa lepim vremenom, kod nas je poceo hladan.

La torre de piedra y la vista desde la terraza del lugar, un buen trabajo, buenas fotos.

That tower built under Roman influence, I think, Luis.
Seen such style in many places - a number of stories one one top other's.
the WS deserve a post of it's own, I think there is a marvelous POV.

Hola Luis,
Cuando Pili ha visto la foto se ha dado cuenta que has puesto Iglesia de Erts, y en realidad es la de Sant Climent de Pal, un pueblecito más arriba de Erts, donde comimos muy bien en casa Lydia, subiendo hacia la estación de esquí.
Puedes corregirlo, y si quieres, tienes información de esta iglesia en mis fotos de ella en mi galería (pag 17 y pag 7).
Sobre la foto, pues me encanta, ya que son los encuadres que yo también he buscado para captar su belleza románica lombarda.
El cielo azul y las nubecillas blancas son un gran fondo para realzar esta arquitectura maravillosa, y al tiempo dar un bonito contraste con las viejas piedras.
El WS es magnífico también, y sé por experiencia que no es nada fácil.
Buen trabajo, amigo mío.

Bonjour Luis,

Un très beau clocher roman très caractéristique de l'architecture romane dans les Pyrénnées. J'aime beaucoup ce cadrage avec le clocher qui contraste très bien avec le bau bleu du ciel. Les détails de la pierre sont très bien captés.

As your shots from Andorra show, the country has not only beautiful mountainous landscapes, but also very interesting modern and old architecture. This tower made of rude stone looks highly attractive and unusual. It is very well captured against the wonderfully clouded sky. Perfectly good job!

This unique shape not well seen attracts the eye.
