Photographer’s Note

Durante el paseo por el camino que mostré en mi último post, se alcanza un mirador colgado vertiginosamente sobre el valle, y desde donde se puede disfrutar esta vista que intenté captar en esta foto tomada el pasado verano.
Es el pequeño pueblo de Engolasters, situado en la montaña por encima de Escaldes-Engordany, rodeado de campos muy verdes y de magníficos bosques.

En el WS presento otra toma desde el camino, en la que me gustó la luz del sol jugando entre los árboles.

During the walk along the path that I showed in my last post, there is reached a viewing-point hung dizzily on the valley, and from where it is possible to enjoy this sight that I tried to catch in this photo taken last summer.
It is the small village of Engolasters, placed in the mountain over Escaldes-Engordany surrounded with a few very green fields and with a magnificent forests.

In the WS I present another capture from the path, in which I liked the sunlight playing between the trees.

Qué bonitos se ven esos campos verdes con sus divisiones arbitrarias y las casas con sus tejados de pizarras salpicadas aquí y allá.
Bella perspectiva con magnífica luz y detalles.
La foto de los árboles está muy linda también.

Bonsoir, mon bon ami Josep,
On plonge gaiement sur cette vallée, notre regard s'attarde sur ces parcelles formant de jolis patchworks. C'est curieux comme tout parait encore plus beau depuis les hauteurs.
J'ai l'impression de contempler une maquette de trains électriques miniatures.
Merci, cher Josep, pour le petit chemin présenté en atelier, j'aime le jeu des lumières et des ombres.

Hello Josep,

I love this very aptly titled image! Yikes, I'll say it's a dizzying view. I hope you are not afraid of heights like I am. It was all I could do to inch out onto the balcony of my 20th floor hotel room to get my Logan Square shot ;)

This is like a patchwork quilt of various green hues and different textures. I appreciate that you left out the sky altogether and instead just focused on the valley and the mountains beyond. We really get a sense of where we are from your POV, and it is quite a lovely scene. I can tell the light was quite bright that day, so I might have added a little more contrast to mitigate the slight glare.

Espectacular esta vista de montanha apontada para baixo sem deixar ver nada do céu. ë uma perspectiva pouco comum mas muito bonita. Os pequenos terrenos lavrados acentuam a dificuldade do declive da montanha e ao mesmo tempo criam um grafismo muito interessante. Também gosto de ver os diversos tons de verde. O WS está bonito, com uma luminosidade interessante e cores boas.

Felicitaciones por el triunfo de Barcelona, no lo pude ver en directo pero anoche Rosa y yo vimos las noticias por la TVE a la gente de Barcelona tirada en la calle celebrando el triunfo.
Que lindo paisaje presentas en tu foto, la vista panorámica del valle con las áreas de cultivos rodeadas de las verdes montañas hacen una magnifica composición. Tu alto POV nos permite disfrutar de toda esa belleza.
La foto del WS esta estupenda. Buen trabajo.

This seems to be a very very green place, and I notice the picture is from early July!
The elevated point of view works well giving a good impression of this farmland in the hillside...

Bonjour Josep ,
Une superbe vue plongante sur un paysage si vert . On continue à planter du tabac en Andorre . Il parrait qu'il n'est même pas utiliser pour fabriquer les cigarettes : est ce vrai ? Les petits villages aux toits de schiste sont très beaux aussi .

Una gran paisaje, y una maravillosa vista. Me gusta mucho la definición y división de los lotes, con su variabilidad de tonos. El encuadre cerrado nos permite observar cada plano con atención.

Considero que ha de ser maravilloso vivir en un pueblito como este, en medio de las montañas, alejado del mundanal ruido y respirando aire puro y silvestre.

De bien jolis dégradés de vert sur cette vue panoramique sur la vallée. Endroit où il doit faire bon vivre. La bonne lumière donnent un agréable relief au paysage comme sur ta photo bonus en WS où les ombres sont intéressantes. Beaux coups d'oeil, merci Josep.

Encantadora vista...para uno más acostumbrado a campos manchegos, y a tierras olivareras de Andalucía, esta vista es como un paraíso, de verdor, de luz, de vida...sumamente relajante y fresca...así te agradezco este momento fresquito que me alivia un poco de los 25 grados que tenemos ahora en Madrid!!!

Like the patchwork in the FG which stands out against the green. The typically slate roofed houses also add interest, but it's the greenery which is captivating & the title is true to that. Well done my friend!

Looking at your first page of your album I suddenly saw this green shot. Very relaxing for the eyes, especially when you have to work with the computer. Your capture of the different hues of greens and the sharpness are great. The road and the forest in the background add to your excellent DOF. Superb composition and execution.

Namaste Josep, a brilliant landscape with high POV. You have got a nice sharp image of a valley. The detailling is brilliant. Too much greenery. The soft colour gives us great relaxation of mind and eye. TFS.
