[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Today I return to Andorra. During my vacations in this small and beautiful country between mountains, and while I was walking along Escaldes-Engordany, with its streets decorated by the Major Holiday, of which already I presented this photo, I continued enjoying of its beautiful corners. Like this zone of the Avenue Carlemany, where a very peculiar building, to which they call the Façana de l'Art, caught my attention.
It is the former hotel La Terrassa, where it was done the "façana de l'Art" (front of the Art). Escaldes-Engordany, as representative parish of the arts, every December and every summer modifies the front and its environment, where it develops a monographic topic of the world of the art.
In December one develops there a giant Advent’s Calendar following the Nordic traditions to count the days from the first day of Advent up to coming to Christmas. Every day it is opened a window and we meet a work of art. Every day from the 1 on December 24 at 20:30 avoids a work of artists' art of the Principality of Andorra, linking this way the world of the Art with the magic world of the Christmas.
In summer a different topic is chosen every year. The summer of 2001, the topic was the Commemoration of 1st Verdi's centenary, and the front was decorated in his honouring. Information of: http: // www.andorraprincipat.com/cat/escaldes/escvisitar.htm

So this front with the Advent Calendar and how joins its urban environment is what I wanted to catch in my photo, with the strong light of the evening, and in a format "Carper" to eliminate some things that were distracting, as the traffic signals and a great wall.

In the WS 1 one sees the same zone in a more opened angle, where the church and this ugly wall appears, but that gives a more global local vision.

The WS 2 is a close-up of the so called front "façana de l'Art", in that it is possible to see the windows of the Advent Calendar.

Hoy vuelvo a Andorra. Durante mis vacaciones en este pequeño y bello país entre montañas, y mientras paseaba por Escaldes-Engordany, con sus calles decoradas por la Fiesta Mayor, de las cuales ya presenté > esta foto, seguí disfrutando de sus hermosos rincones. Como esta zona de la Avenida Carlemany, donde un edificio muy peculiar, al que llaman la Façana de l'Art, captó mi atención.
Es el antiguo hotel La Terrassa, donde se hizo la “façana de l'Art” (fachada del Arte).
Escaldes-Engordany, como parroquia representativa de las artes, cada diciembre y cada verano modifica la fachada y su entorno, donde desarrolla un tema monográfico del mundo del arte.
El mes de diciembre se desarrolla allí un calendario de Adviento gigante siguiendo las tradiciones nórdicas para contar los días desde el primer día de Adviento hasta llegar a Navidad. Cada día se abre una ventana y nos encontramos con una obra de arte. Cada día desde el 1 al 24 de diciembre a las 20h30 se sortea una obra de arte de artistas del Principado de Andorra, vinculando así el mundo del Arte con el mundo mágico de la Navidad.
En verano se elige un tema diferente cada año. El verano de 2001, el tema fue la Conmemoración del 1er. Centenario de Verdi, y la fachada se decoró en su homenaje.

Pues esta fachada con el Calendario de Adviento y cómo se integra en su entorno urbano es lo que quise captar en mi foto, con la luz fuerte de la tarde, y en un formato “Carper” para eliminar algunas cosas que distraían, como las señales de tráfico y una gran pared.

En el WS 1 se ve esta misma zona en un ángulo más abierto, donde aparece la iglesia y esta fea pared, pero que da una visión más global del lugar.

El WS 2 es un plano de detalle de la fachada llamada “façana de l’Art”, en el que se puede ver las ventanas del calendario de Adviento.

Hola Josep, it happen to see your entrance and I still can't see the WSs, but I'll see it right after the critic. The façade is quite spectacular and your composition is excellent, showing the mountains in the background. Nice inclusion of the man at right, for some human atmosphere and beautiful pink flowers that make the street prettier.

Nice shot of this interesting building! The facade is unlike anything I've ever seen, and I certainly didn't expect to see this in Andorra. Great colour and contrast too, which really brings out the beauty in this. Well done!

Muy interesante fachada, la captaste muy bien desde un angulo lateral permitiendonos disfrutar de tan bella arquitectura no solo del edificio de la Facana de l'Art sino tambien de los otros edificios adyacentes. Me gusto mucho tus dos WS pero en particular el #1, tiene un encuadre mas abierto y nos enseña mas areas de la ciudad.

Una façana ben original que amb les teves tres fotos ens mostres amb nitidesa, bona llum i colors després de passar per les teves hàbils mans retocant tot allò que no veies adient o que interferia. Una bona feina i ben feta per no variar.

També he vist que has actualitzat la teva imatge aquest cop ensenyant-nos el gat. Ben fet, s'ha d'estar al dia. Jo també tinc una gata siamesa si vols la pots veure a TL.

Loprs de mon passage à Andorre la luminosité trop dure m'avait dissuadé de prendre quelques vues.
J'apprécie celle-ci de par le point de vue bien choisi pour mettre en valeur cette façade.
A mon avis cette image est bien meilleure que les deux en WS car on apprécie mieux les détails.

É realmente uma fachada impressionante cheia de trabalhos minuciosos para chegarem a este resultado final muito apelativo.
Ms não é só a fachada que torna esta foto boa, são tambem os outros edificios tão tipicos de Andorra com o seu colorido e arquitectura peculiares, é este aspecto de via quotidiana com a pessoa junto à paragem do autcarro, são os montes ao fundo, são estas flores coloridas.
São todos estes elementos que em conjunto formam uma bela composição.
