Photographer’s Note

After a few short holidays and a pause on TE, today I return to present a photo that I have taken in Andorra during my stay there.

It is a simple image of the most known Andorra, where the shopping and the purchases are a typical aspect of the country, which attracts thousands of tourists.
Here it is possible to see a wooden fence that hides the reform works of a building, in the Avinguda Meritxell, the main street of Andorra la Vella, where almost all the shops are located.
During these days there were no many tourists in the country, and this image of only a tourist walking along the street among andorran people who go to work, is not very usual, since these sidewalks are always crammed with a lot of people.

The set seemed to me to be nice and with a symbolism of the speed of the time.

Bonsoir Josep,

Image caractéristique de notre société de consommation...enfin pas pour tout le monde !!! Apparemment, les belles montres, ça n'a pas l'air de les intéresser en bas... Belle symbolique du temps qui passe et c'est vrai que ça file vite malheureusement. Une photo de notre temps, bien vu Josep.

A fotografia está muito boa, com uma imagem bem composta e eficientes ajustes de fotometria/exposicão. Aquela gente toda a andar ficou muito bem.

Si, es una foto curiosa. El personaje central (turista) verdaderamente llama la atención como turista frente al resto de los transeuntes.

By the way, was it 9 past 10 when you took the picture? Of course, too early for tourists, the shops are still closed!
It is a very nice shot and quite humorous to see the relationship between people and watches. Well done.

Like it or not but outdoor commercials are becoming a common element in our streets!
But of course it can be done with taste as well as far beyond...
Here it enhances the urban feeling, that also is conveyed by the people rushing in the same direction!

Una foto urbana, y un encuadre muy adecuado, me gusta ese fondo de madera con esos anuncios, has transmitido muy bien lo de tu nota una vida cotidiana, donde las compras y la tendencia en moda, marcas... es el pan de cada dia, también viendo esta foto podemos pensar como el tiempo pasa tan rapidamente que no deja ni pararnos, un buen trabajo como siempre!!

Me parece un escenario muy elegante con todos los relojes en el muro y una muy buena conexion con la velocidad de la vida que nosotros levamos, unos mas lientos otros mas rapido pero siempre con alguna velocidad.
Interessante tambien las diferentes actitudes de las personas que passan en la calle.

hehe, it's a nice funny situation from the streets, Josep. The background gives an attractive geometric setting and also a big contrast of scales, making the people look smaller. The line of people gives the action with some graphic qualities as well. The tourist that seems out of place is a funny bonus. Well seen and captured.
