I see NY even in Andorra Photo

Photographer’s Note

This photo is another exercise of game with the reflections and the transparencies in a shop window of a shop in Andorra la Vella.

This kind of images always attracts my look, and if I carry my chamber, I do not hesitate to photograph them.

The friend Stéphane, that thinks that I am the specialist on Andorra because I like much this small country, also knows that I am in love with a city that he also loves, New York.

And for this reason I want to dedicate him this photo, because the shop window evokes NY with a photo of Times Square and for the small manikins sat in the girder as in the famous photo of the workers having lunch in a girder suspended to 300m of height in the construction of the Chrysler Building.

This one is for you, my friend Stéphane.

Cette photo est un autre exercice de jeu avec les reflets et les transparences dans une vitrine d'un magasin en Andorre la Vella.

Ce type d'images m'attirent toujours le regard, et si j’ai mon appareil, je ne doute pas de les photographier.

L'ami Stéphane, qui considère que je suis le spécialiste sur l'Andorre parce que beaucoup me plaît ce petit pays, sait aussi que je suis amoureux d'une ville qu'il aime aussi, New York.

Et pour ce motif je veux lui dédier cette photo, parce que la vitrine évoque NY avec une photo de Times Square et par les petits mannequins assis dans la poutre comme sur la photo fameuse des ouvriers en déjeunant dans une poutre suspendue à 300m d'altitude dans la construction du Chrysler Building.

Celle-ci est pour toi, mon ami Stéphane.

Este tipo de imágenes siempre me atrae la mirada, y si llevo mi cámara, no dudo en fotografiarlas.

El amigo Stéphane, que considera que soy el especialista sobre Andorra porque me gusta mucho este pequeño país, también sabe que estoy enamorado de una ciudad que él también ama, New York.

Y por este motivo quiero dedicarle esta foto, porque el escaparate evoca NY con una foto de Times Square y por los pequeños maniquís sentados en la viga como en la famosa foto de los obreros almorzando en una viga suspendida a 300m de altura en la construcción del Chrysler Building.

Ésta es para ti, amigo Stéphane.

Hola Josep.
La verdad que a primera vista me confundí un poco con tu magnifica fotografía al ver en el escaparate una foto de Time Square, pensé que la habías tomado en NY. La verdad es que tu foto tiene muchos detalles, muy variados y al mismo tiempo muy bien captados. Colores excelentes y una definición perfecta. Un estupendo trabajo. Tu WS es bueno, esta me gusta mas.

Es una técnica que tu dominas muy bien. Y siempre impregnas la imagen con un gran poder compositivo.

Los reflejos se visualizan muy bien y equilibran la escena con el resto de elementos que se exponen en la vidriera. Sin duda, un trabajo original y destacado.

Those are interesting windows, I spent a long time trying to comprehend which was direct and which was reflected...an interesting puzzle.
I see you have a new photo of that grandson, I'm surprised you have time for TE. I think you must see him often, that is wonderful. I lived next door to my grand-daughter until she started school.

A lot years hang the famous photo of the workers having lunch in a girder suspended to 300m of height in the construction of the Chrysler Building in the business premises when I worked.
This is a small simular with the kids, but I like your intention and certainly when you our best friend that you the specialist on Andorra call.

Very nice one and well presented, Josep. It has a strong urban mood and the manequins tell a story. Love the detail of the girls sat on the structure as a reference of the famous photo of NY. I also like the contrasts. The WS is much softer and the delicate mood is completely diferent.

C'est une photo comme je les aime avec une frontière mal définie entre le réel et l'imaginaire. J'aime cette composition rigoureuse et ces couleurs qui donnent du dynamisme à l'ensemble.

> the reflection is really crazy and I was really surprised to discover it (I wouldn't have expected Andorra to have connection except through you !!) and enjoyed the way you composed it

Elle aurait pu s'appeler "J'ai révé New York" d'après la chanson de Daniel Gérard le chanteur au chapeau.
Je remarque que c'était la période des soldes, je parie que c'est moins cher qu'à Orléans en dehors de la période des soldes :)
C'est en effet un intéressant exercice.

molt bona aquesta foto. Quan l'he vist, sense llegir la teva nota, he pensat amb la tan coneguda foto dels obrers a la biga del gratacels en construcció. És bo el joc de les imatges relacionades.
