Photographer’s Note

Ésta es la última foto que presento de una vista desde el Coll de la Botella (2069m), en Andorra.
En esta toma intenté captar el fuerte efecto de la luz del sol sobre las pendientes nevadas, que dibujaba su relieve y me ofrecía un bonito contraste con los tonos oscuros del bosque y con los grises de las nubes.

Podemos ver una de las pistas de esquí, los cables del teleférico y varias torres del telesilla de la zona de Pal.

En WS 1 otra toma donde se ven las torres del teleférico que enlaza las zonas esquiables de Pal y de Arinsal, en Vallnord, y también las bolas rojas de balizamiento de los cables, una de las cuales presenté en mi último post.

El WS 2 es una pequeña cabaña de pastores en el fondo del valle de Setúria, en una toma con zoom.

This one is the last photo that I present of a sight from the Coll of the Bottle (2069m), in Andorra.
In this capture I tried to catch the strong effect of the sunlight on the covered with snow slopes, which its relief was drawing and a nice contrast was offering with the dark tones of the forest and with the gray ones of the clouds.

We can see one of the ski tracks, the cables of the cable-car and several towers of the chair-lift of Pal's zone.

In WS 1 another capture where there are seen the towers of the cable-car that connects the skiing zones of Pal and of Arinsal, in Vallnord, and also the red balls to mark the cables, one of which was presented by me in my last post.

The WS 2 is a shepherds' hut at the bottom of Setúria's valley, in a capture with zoom.

Un joli cliché de ce paysage de montagnes enneigées. J'ai d'abord cru que tu avais choisi le noir et blanc et je me suis aperçue de mon erreur. Les WS sont de bons compléments.

Bonjour Josep.
Cette photo me plait pour sa composition qui place les deux premiers plans en obliques parallèles, un peu comme des vagues qui iraient se briser sur le dernier plan qui s'oppose aux précédents par sa direction. Il en résulte comme une lutte de lignes de force du meilleur effet.

I see there has been a big snowfall in the mountains of Andorra. The weather conditions have allowed you to capture an excellent image, with dark clouds, yet sun on the snow scene. Apart from some touches of blue, it is almost black and white.

Olá Josep.
Bela foto esta misturando a luz e sombras reflectidas sobre a neve.
As diagonais formadas pelas colinas em conjunto com as formas arredondadas criadas pela neve criam pdrões muito interessantes e agradaveis à vista.
Finalmente deixo-te uma pequena brincadeira em WS - somente uma visão diferente do inverno.

Winter has already come to Andorra! Wonderful slopes covered with snow. I like such a fresh snow without any trails, like in the WS.

Hello Josep,

Seems like a fine place for alpine skiing!
And I'm amazed by the amounts of snow, here the ski resorts have to produce snow whenever the temperature goes below 0C...
Fine effect with the angle of light, and the scene gives an almost B&W effect!

The winter is coming, I am no great winter fan, but other people have winter very gladly.
A great palette of green shades and a peaceful environment
Beautiful light and colours and the atmosphere of a splendid mountain landscape.
Most of all I like the framing of this charming scenery.
Composition and perspective are superb, also for look it.

Hola Josep, all 3 pictures are very good and could have been the main post. I guess that this view is more breathtaking, though and a great convertion to b&w. Love the bright tracks seen in the distance and the strong diagonal of the mountain in the composition. Love the light on the snow in WS1, a very beautiful image as well.

Sin duda de que es un vasto panorama lleno de blanca belleza.

Me agrada mucho la iluminación como es atenuada por el cúmulo de nubes, lo que permite detallar parcialmente los rayos de luz sobre las pendientes. El encuadre está perfecto y el punto de vista no pudo ser mejor.

Es un bonito trabajo y un agradable escenario, que de antemano se que te sientes muy a gusto alli.

Extraordinaria foto en blanco y negro captando este precioso lugar. La verdad son impresionantes las pendientes llenas de nieve, un paraíso para los esquiadores. Tu punto de vista nos permite disfrutar las magnificas montañas en todo su esplendor. Tus dos WS están muy buenos. Hay estupenda iluminacion a pesar por lo que veo en las nubes de tormenta era un día muy nublado.

Hola Josep,
Lograste tu objetivo: el conjunto gráfico formado por las pendientes y los trazos en la nieve es muy atrayente y queda muy bien realzado por la luz del sol sobre la nieve. Las nubes acentúan un cierto aire dramático y la insaturación(?) natural es esplendida.
Me gustan mucho los WS's. Cualquier de ellos merecería un poste principal. Quizás lo #1 sea lo más cautivante visualmente.

Ya es un espectáculo de invierno. La nieve parece abundante. Los colores variados del otoño se terminan, veremos a partir de manteniendo todos los matices de gris y gris azulado sobre las fotografías. Excelente trabajo.

You managed this difficult light very well and managed a great shot.
Good composition with these diagonal curves and the tree`s sillhouettes.It`s a good exposure with fine details to view at the snow and I like a lot this dramatic sky with the natural looking clouds.

Exposure is excellent my friend, especially with so much snow around. The soft snow is beautiful, but what I like most is the play of deep shadows with the lit up parts, which create fantastic depth. An excellent post. All the WSs are equally beautiful & could be main posts. Fine work!

Today it snowed for the first time in this winter in my town! (:
Excellent winter landscape with great lights, the pinetrees and the lines in the snow give a graphic mood to the photo.
This view reminds me the ski resort I've been to in Austria (Carinthia) this January. (I have a photo from there, but that looks different..)

me gusta mucho este tipo de imagenes, montaña, nieve, naturaleza en estado puro, tu composicion es casi un blanco y negro, con el contraste de la nieve y los pinos oscuros, interesante y bien realizada,
