Photographer’s Note

Anyós is a small village of the parish of La Massana, in Andorra. It is placed to 1307 meters of altitude, and there is prominent the Sant Cristòfol’s chapel, patron saint of the village.

I was there taking photos of its nice and small church in the daytime, but as the place it is magnificent and has a few excellent sigths on the valley of the Valira del Nord and on the parish of La Massana, I decided to return in the evening to catch all this beauty at the blue hour.

When I came there with the a bit low Sun, I found this boy seated and looking at the landscape peacefully, he seemed to be thinking, and I liked the effect of the cross-light on him.

The WS is another scene in which the boy is standing up close to his dog.

Anyós es un pequeño pueblo de la parroquia de La Massana, en Andorra. Está situado a 1307 metros de altitud, y es destacable la capilla de Sant Cristofol, patrón del pueblo.

Estuve allí tomando fotos de su bonita y pequeña iglesia con luz de día, pero como el lugar es magnífico y tiene unas excelentes vistas sobre el valle del Valira del Nord y sobre la parroquia de La Massana, decidí volver por la tarde para captar toda esa belleza a la hora azul.

Cuando llegué allí con el sol un poco bajo, encontré a este muchacho sentado contemplando el paisaje relajadamente, parecía estar pensando, y me gustó el efecto del contraluz sobre él.

El WS es otra escena en la que el muchacho está de pie junto a su perro.

Realmente esta imagen es como un poema. Observándola le vienen a uno muchos pensamientos y sentimientos. La foto muy buena y las montañas son perfectas, sin ellas la foto ya no seria lo mismo.

a posição do sol ficou perfeita pra mostrar o homem contemplando essa bela vista da cidade e da montanha. Local privilegiado esse e belo trabalho seu.

Hola Josep:

Una foto muy bien lograda dentro del efecto de contraluz. Me agrada mucho la composición, tomada desde un plano bajo, para permitirnos apreciar tenuemente la villa en el 2do. plano bajo las montañas, y la actitud del protagonista.

J'aime le contraste du vert lumineux sur les montagnes bleues. La présence de ce garçon fait merveille car tu as parfaitement capté le bel éclairage sur ses cheveux et son dos. L'atmosphère propice à la contemplation est très bien rendue.

Great light usage here while adding a valuable guest to your scene perfectly. Amazing tone differences by lights are makes your scene fantastic. I like low angled lights on grasses and on your model also different tones of silhouettes of mountains a lot too. Nice addition of complementary photo. I looked to your complementary image, this is a very good picture withthe dog and the slow walk of the girl.
I think that everyone sometimes have a dream, as this girl have a dream about the city in background, soft and attractive for see.

This is a fine composition, where the backlight so nicely emphasise the person!
Fine diagonals and the 3-D feeling is strong, interesting colour palette in the varied light...

Bonjour mon cher Josep.
L'ombre était la bienvenue sur l'arrière-plan, cela diminue l'effet du voile atmosphérique qui a tendance a délaver les vues lointaines.
La luminosité latérale sur l'avant-plan accentue l'effet relief.
Une image très appréciable.

Bonjour Josep,

Une impression de paix, de sérénité ressort de cette photo. C'est évidemment dû à la composition avec la personne bien située dans ce paysage grandiose, c'est dû aussi à la belle utilisation de la lumière avec des contrastes forts entre ombre et lumière.

The triangle of green provides a nice entry to blueness of the slanting rays of light across mountain and valley. The light in the boy's hair and on the grass add to the drama of sunlight and shadow.

Buenas noches Josep, I love the meditative mood of this one with him sat in front of the magnificent mountain view. Fantastic light coming from the left and beautiful contrast of the enlighted FG with the vast BG at the shadow. Excellent presentation. The only thing I would point is the house too close to him in the background but it's a small detail.

I've do a lot of catching up! Good work with the slope of the hill in the BG starting from the top right corner, stretching diagonally across the frame like the other slopes, The man, sitting alone is well positioned in the image with the BG creating a halo like effect as well. A good work my friend!
