Photographer’s Note

Along the coastal road of the Abanian Riviera the views are often stunning. After a passage of a col of more than 1000 meter we were riding into the clouds (see WS) and when we came out we saw the sea in the depth where the sun was shining again.

The low cloud has given an amazing effect here, as the foreground doesn't seem to be affected at all. It must have been a tough ride all the way up there.

Well, i prefer with a sunny day of course ... but well taken with a colourful foreground, a good idea to have an interesting contrast with this misty day.

I don't know if was this one that I saw on the other day in a glance, but I love it. Atmospheres given by the mist allways attract me. Good dephness of this amazing view, well framed by the yellow flowers in foreground. I also like very much the extra one in WS. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Gerrit,
Spectacular view of this so steep coast, that it draws a winding highway to us with great unevenness that is raising by the mountain. Placed in foreground the detail of those yellow flowers well, and the fog also gives to a mysterious touch when hiding to us partially the coastline him in background.
Good composition.

Hi Gerrit - awesome view, the mist is interesting and fortunatelky does not quite hide the panoramic view, I would love to drive this road in october!!

A nice misty and atmospheric scene portrayed here. I like the effect of the flowers in the foreground to add contrast to the whole landscape. Good use of the landscape features to add interest and nice capture of the atmospheric conditions. Well done.

Those mist shots are always impressive. Here you have an impressive background as well! What is the river down there?
I like the flowers in the foreground. In an ideal world, I would have liked to see these flowers, but no wall...but I guess that it was impossible.

A land shrouded in mist, in more ways than one.You have made this part of Europe appear even more mysterious and enigmatic through an excellent PoV that gives a clear foreground and a lost sea.
