This is a another crop with more leaves showing on the top. As cropping this photo has been by far the most difficult one I have ever made I would love to hear which one your prefer and why. Thank you.

Same picture but so different. It's hard to tell which one is the best. Surely this is more "conventional", the last one a bolder composition, They have in common the dreamy atmosphere and the fantastic colours of an oil-painting. I love these red leaves and enjoy seeing the greater parts of the trees, but the other picture surprised me more.
Also, thanks for your interesting mail. I was right to believe you had been working hard to train your skills. I am sure you will continue improving.

Well, having just written a long critique of your last picture, I thought I'd best write something about this one too!
Pretty much all I said about the last one also applies to this one and, of course, I still can't really make up my mind which one I prefer - they are both stunningly beautiful photographs with fabulous autumnal colours as well as both being technically perfect.
But, now that I look again at the two of them (I have them open in separate "windows"), if I really had to choose between them, I think that this one would be my fabourite. However, as I said before, I'd love them both hung in my living room and I'd be very, very proud to have taken either of these lovely photographs!

Like an impressionistic painting !
Wonderful colors, soft and comforting...
You managed to transmit a fantastic atmosphere with very few elements, just thanks to the strength of your framing and the golden colors.
Very well done.

It almost looks like a painting, I like the deep rich autumnal colours. I like your crop with the red leaves showing at the top and the layer of golden grass in the foreground.

Hi Aleks - a fine companion to the previous shot, showing more of the red leaves, and like others I'm torn as to which I prefer. You took more of a risk with the previous crop, and I think a good and an unexpected one, but I o like the balance here as well. Luckily I don't have to choose - I can like them both! Beautiful colors and a soft focus really do combine to give the sense of a painting. Lovely shot.
