Olá Gerrit, I feel lost in the middle of the jungle...It makes me remember the TV show "LOST". It's a nice quick shot of your friend and I like the blurred vegetation at right FG, indicating you were in motion. I would crop a bit on top, though.

So much green in the Caribbean and fruit grows so easily. Very good daily life shot of the fruit farmer. Maybe if he was further to the right so the most space was in front of him?

A hot and wet image very spectacular. The farmer is impressive with his machete. A beautiful tropical, but not good conditions for the cameras.

Zware noeste arbeid, ook op een zogenaamd idylisch eiland is het niet alleen maar feest en plezier....in ieder geval niet voor de bewoners. Lekkere dikke vette kleuren en tevens mooi in een vertikale compositie...

Amazing light management... capturing the filtered green jungle light without significant OE yet still showing the fine details of the farmer's strong body in the shadows. I like the fframing too, he seems totally immersed in jungle. How nice that he invited you home!!

Hi Gerrit,
Nice shot, I recognize all this kind of green, because it looks like some places in my country of origin. I understand also the little area of overexposure at the top - the contrast in amount of light below and over the trees in such places exceeds usual bounds. It shows us it is a really natural picture and I like it and the human presence as well.
The foliage of the banana tree at the top right corner give an extra charm, as it fills artistically this triangle.

je hebt de sfeer van de jungle perfect weergegeven. Echt mooi hoe die vette groenen het beeld bepalen met de arbeider onderweg daar intussen.
Zeer sfeervol en prima belicht, hetgeen zeker niet makkelijk is onder zulke omstandigheden. Prima fotowerk!

Het mooie kleuren pallet gebied mij om te zeggen dat u hier mooi werk heeft geleverd.
Het is niet zo evident om een donkere man te plaatsen in een schaduw zone, en de rest in een schitterend licht en aangepaste kleuren.
U maakt een mooie samenstelling, en goede presentatie. Bedankt.

a true jungle photo... lush, impenetrable greens; humid heat is almost 'zinging' from your photo... a shame the farmer is not facing us, but, alas, cannot have everything, right? ;)
