Photographer's Note
This is Santiago Crater, the active crater of Masaya Volcano.
In 1979, around this volcano, was established the Masaya Volcano National Park, the first national park of Nicaragua.
The Masaya Volcano is the most active volcano of the region and is continuously emitting large amounts of gas.
At the time of the Conquistadores, the volcano used to feature a lava lake they thought to be molted gold, and it was nicknamed "the mouth of hell".

Hello Julien,
'The Mouth of Hell' might have been a good title for your shot; it would certainly have created interest!
The repeating curves of the crater draw the eyes into the shot where they meet the rather sinster, swirling gases. It is all a little unnerving!
Nice textural details.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)
