Photographer’s Note

Some of you may recognise the jetty or the red boat from my previous postings, but today I wanted to show you the bigger picture. With such an idyllic setting, we were in no hurry to leave and decided to stay another day. For more of a note on Petit St Vincent, see my previous postings.

This is a stitch of 8 vertical shots taken at 18mm, f9, 1/160s, assembled using Autostitch. As this is my 200th posting on TE, I thought I’d try something a bit more ambitious, using various skills I’ve learnt thanks to participating on TE. I hope you like it!

This fascinating landscape makes me dream of flying there. Lovelz colours of the sea and grat composition with the little pier leading to the centre of the image.

bravo pour le 200th post.
Avec cet assemblage on peut même dire que tu en as posté 207 :-).
Astucieux d'avoir pris les photos en format vertical avant l'assemblage.
De magnifiques couleurs sous un ciel séduisant.

Y'a tous les elements du paradis ici... ah non il manque le petit kiosque typique avec le barman qui prepare de bons cocktails a base de rhum !
C'est tres beau et tres bien assemble, bravo et felicitations pour ta 200 eme !!!

I'd stay another month to compensate for the month of summer we seem to be missing out on here.
I like the wide-angle effect with the jetty framed by the trees. The colour of the water is just beautiful and I like those clouds too. Congratutations on your 200th and well done on the stitching.

Avec le temps et les temparatures que l'on a actuelement je partirais bien sur cette plage.

La composition de ton panorama est bien réalisée, avec ces cocotiers à chaque bord, ce ponton et la mer.

je ne sais pas ce que j'aime les plus dans tes images des Grenadines: cette couleur fabuleuse de l'eau ou la beauté de ces formations nuageuses qui semblent sytématiquement orner ces superbes rivages.

Décidémment la journée des anniversaires aujourd'hui! Et pour ta 200e photo, tu fais très fort avec ce super panorama. En ouvrant la version large, on s'y croirait et je peux presque sentir l'eau chaude entre mes orteils. Techniquement c'est parfait aussi bien au niveau de la prise de vue que de l'assemblage. La plage n'est généralement pas ma "tasse de thé", mais là je veux bien rester un moment pour y déguster un banana cow! ;o)

What a magnificent large version of this known place from your previous posts. I'm impressed with the excellent result and with your skills. I'm on the 199th post and I don't know to do this! The image looks so nice that I want to jump to this paradise and dive in that attractive water. Congratulations for the 200th and for the good work!

Hola Susanna. Me gusta mucho tu foto, porque tiene una gran composición y los colores son muy interesantes. Además la utilización de 8 fotos para componer esta panorámica es muy complicado sobretodo en la zona de la orilla debido a la naturaleza dinámica del agua. Un gran trabajo y una foto de gran calidad.

Very nice one for your anniversary, Susanna, congratulations! A beautiful panoramic that does justice to the grand scenery and shows it in the most alluring way possible. Good work blending the photos together to present this wide view across the beach. Nice how your shooting angle makes the wooden pier point towards the hill in the background. Well done.

Bonjour Susanna, la lumière et le contraste entre le bleu turquoise de la mer et celui nuageuse du ciel confère à l'image un effet graphique très esthétique, le jeu de symétrie formée au premier plan part les deux palmiers sont une entrée en matière fort intéressante, ce ponton traversant l’image est une invitation à quitter ce sable blanc et cette ambiance paradisiaque, en version large notre regard est obligé de se dirigé vers cette explosion nuageuse qui célèbre ton 200ème poste, l’on ressent l’excellent travaille de prise de vue ainsi que l’assemblage parcimonieux de ces huit photos, après l’apothéose pour cette photo je te souhaite une réussite pour la suite, bien amicalement

Wow Susanna,
That looks wonderful! And it seems to be all yours. Sand, palms, sandbeach. The right place to get away from daily routines. And excellent stitch. Only thing is that horizon is slightly wavy. There's nothing that programs do for that. So the frames have to be levelled before applying them to a stitch software.

i think this is the first picture from Saint Vincent and Grenadines that im commentig here and it is a pure pleasure, a wonderful paradisic panorama, thanks for bringing it and making me dream little bit :)

The large view is wonderful, i can't see any stitching, very good.

A heavenly scene by any standards. The panorama format is apropos, and I really like how you stitched here. The usual glare of strong light off of the sand is handled remarkably well and the palms on either side nicely balance. Very fine work, Susanna. Congratulations on this one. Its a keeper.

Cette plage est superbe et bien mise en valeur avec ta compo et les 2 palmiers qui ferment bien l'image.
J'aime aussi beaucoup le ponton qui s'avance dans le lagon.

A fantastic view of this bay verry nice framed by the palmtrees at both sides.Good diagonal of the woden pier which gives a good depth and fantastic colors.Great wotk.

Who would blame you for staying another day! The place looks idyllic and on the large version the quality and detail are superb. I love the way you bordered each side with a palm tree and how the symmetry is broken by the jetty. Even the sky was playing ball. Very good work and congratulations on reaching another milestone.

Great location - brilliant and spectacular stitch job.
(I rarely bother opening the large versions - figuring I still won't see it all at once - did this time - didn't regret it - very nice Susanna.

This is an impressive panoramic view with excellent quality and definition. The details can be easily and readily seen and the effect of the lighting and cloud formations gives good impact to the picture. The jetty works as a good lead into the scene and balances the picture compositionally.
