Photographer’s Note
Bequia means "island of clouds" and I would like to add ""island of clouds and winds". It was not so easy for the sailingmen of the catamaran to steer the right course through the reef to reach the beautiful beach where we take a picnic with grilled fishes.

Bequia is the largest island in the Grenadines. It is part of the nation of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, and is approximately 15 km from the capital, Kingstown. Its capital is Port Elizabeth. Other villages are Paget Farm, Lower Bay, La Pompe, Hamilton and Derrick. Population is about 5,000.
Bequia means "island of clouds" in Arawak. Bequia's lush hills are much lower than the peaks of St. Vincent, 10 miles to the north, so they do not receive as many rainshowers. Bequia is a favorite among yachts, expats and vacationers, most of whom will come back again and again to enjoy its hospitable, laid back and friendly atmosphere. Bequia is the most tourist friendly part of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
The beaches of Bequia are white sand, some are secluded, and all are clean and uncrowded. The waters are perfect for swimming, snorkeling, sailing, diving, and other water sports. It is a beautiful lush island with some of the friendliest people in the Caribbean.

Hi Achim
I like the silhouetted coconut palms on the horizon in this superb tropical daily life scene. Tfs!

Not your best picture Achim but it shows a pleasant activity. Fishing is obviously popular in the tropics and your captured this scene well. Little things like the clouds and the sky need some work but overall I like the atmosphere displayed in the compo.

Hallo Achim,
schöne warme Wasser- und Lichtspiele. Die Hintergrundsilhouette ist gut (Kurve mit Palmen im Wind).

Bonjour, mon ami Achim,
Philippe

Well, the diversity of your travel atlas is getting wider and wider! Have you counted how many countries you have been to?
Anyway, it's very interesting to read about so many different places on the same site.
I like this picture taken against the light, which gives the sea an aspect of glittering silver.
I also liked your adjoining note, which makes one dream of holidays in paradise. It gives us ideas anyway, if ever we don't know where to go.
Thanks for sharing.
Marie Louise.
