Photographer’s Note
View of Marigot Bay from the top of a short but sweet walking trail that begins at the Oasis Marigot Resort. It is one of the rare deep inlets in the Carribbean. The following is taken from:
http://www.saint-lucia.com/marigot-bay.html
worth a visit to this website, it has some nice aerial photos, and gives an idea of the typically outrageous accomodation prices on the island that cater above all to rich newlyweds.
"The most beautiful Bay in the Caribbean"...That's how author James A Michener once described beautiful Marigot Bay in St. Lucia!
All year round, Marigot Bay is the home of dozens of sailboats which choose our tropical fjord as one of the nicest natural anchorage in the Caribbean.
Opening onto the Caribbean sea, Marigot Bay is conveniently situated 20 minutes South of Castries, the Island's Capital City, 45 minutes South of Pigeon Island National Park and 60 minutes North of the majestic Pitons.

Spawned by an ancient volcano, her shores home to Stone Age voyagers and her reefs a haven for an exciting array of sea creatures, St Lucia is now fast becoming a lure for international movie makers and a sizzling pick for fashion magazine photographers.
Well known landmarks, resorts, and bays, not to mention parts of the island’s lush rainforest and undersea wonders, have had their day in the Hollywood spotlight.
One of the first films to put St Lucia in the movie limelight was Doctor Doolittle (1967). Directed by Richard Fleisher the history-rich Marigot Bay, located along the island’s west coast, provided background for the approximately two-hour long family adventure/musical. The late British actor Rex Harrison played the role of Dr John Doolittle. Also featured were Samantha Eggar, Anthony Newly and Richard Attenborough.

Again, a very beautiful shot Tan, well composed with pretty colors. Maybe I would prefer less vegetation and be closer of the bay. Anyway, I like it very much!

Hi Tan,
Very good overlooking Pov for this paradisiac view, the light and colors are excellent, I like the greens very much here. Outstanding clarity as usual and nice extra touch added to this fine compo by the foreground vegetation.
Have a nice day,
Jean-Yves

Hi Tan, Good composition of this place unheard of previously. The Uni of Queensland has the St Lucia campus, maybe named after this place. Good to see on TE. Colours are excellent. Murray.
