Taken during Art in All of Us (www.artinallofus.org) activities last month in the island of St Kitts.

The AiA Awareness Program (http://www.artinallofus.org/about-us/programs.html) introduces multicultural exchanges and knowledge during visits into schools by introducing photographic and other interactive cultural activities.

One child wanted to express the idea of being made out of sand and being happy with it. He made the composition.... I just pressed the button ;-)

Inspire children is part of our mission, giving them a voice is our duty...

All proceeds from sales of pictures will go to the child art education project of Art in All of Us (WWW.ARTINALLOFUS.ORG)

I think you did a marvellous job by just pressing that button. :) The composition is very solid with no background distraction. Focus on the sand pointing at the main idea and the happy/proud expression at second level summerizes the whole essence of the capture. Smile on children's face is most precious thing in the world. Thank you for sharing!
Best regards, Jeri.

Anthony, This is a great job. Keep up the good work & thanks for pushing the button...and for sharing the result.

Anthony,

I think this is an extraordinary photograph. As Jorji says, the primary focus...the hands...is front, center and perfectly depicted, while the child's face is subordinate and gives the needed context. The fact you resisted the temptation to have everything in focus is a big plus. My eye goes right to the hands; that is the key. The way the child's clothing disappears into the background is also every effectual, making for no other distractions whatsoever. This is one of the best protraits I've seen here (I'm somewhat new). Very nice -- this photo could appear in almost any travel magazine.

Hi Anthony,

Undoubtedly a beautiful shot. Tonality is good. The white bg is setting off the subject nicely. And I too like your choice of shallow dof with the focus on the extended hand. Yes it does convey the "made of sand" idea nicely.

Maybe the shot ends a bit abruptly towards the bottom of the frame and a portrait framing may have helped there.

Regards,
Avishek
