Stad Amsterdam anchored at Frigate Bay on the Caribbean (western) side of St. Kitts.
Stad Amsterdam is a three-mast clipper that was built in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, in 2000 at the Damen Oranjewerf. She was built to replicate best qualities of clippers of the past, outfitted and built with modern techniques but with a classic 'look and feel'. Stad Amsterdam won the 2001 Cutty Sark Tall Ships' Race.

A delicious picture from warmer waters... The technical is perfect and the motive is really attractive and tempting to visit... I especially like the colors of the boat and the wind making the sea come to life. Nice!

As I'm always looking for lines, convergence and alignment, I can't help but notice that the slope of the mountain is perfectly in line with the bowsprit of the ship...
Well organized and balanced composition. The clouds bring such a perfect backdrop for this island shot! Nice light and deep colours.

Beautiful three-mast clipper on the Caribbean Sea. Sharpness has been perfectly applied in spite of very difficult on the wire ropes. Color of the sailing ship is also so nice. Beautiful work.
Have a nice day, Hisashi

Very well framed image and very well presented. The lighting on the boat is very good and seems to highlight the colours. I like the balance, right amount of water, land and sky in the frame, very sharp too. Thanks for sharing.

I know it's not really creative, but I'm thinking of Pirate of the Caribbean when I see this image, I expect Johney Depp to be jumping out of the ship any time :)
Either you zoom in alot ot get this shot or crop a lot to get this composition, which is perfect, but the clarity and sharpness is not as strong as your other photos. Regardless, it is still better than most here and didn't take away the beauty of this image. Composition is perfect, the color is natural and beautiful. the clouds wow, really nice and drammatic.

Such beautiful colours and they are well contrasted. The image is well-balanced with the ship on one side and the little township on the other. This place is a paradise, lucky you.
TFS and I wish you a lovely Saturday

A nice vessel for a Caribbean cruise!
Reminds me of the olden days with pirates at sea and exotic girls in every harbour hehehe...
A well balanced composition of high technical quality!

l'impression de voir un film sur les pirates des Caraďbes, en cinemascope et dans des couleurs fortes et parfaites. Un ciel qui n'a pu rester discret avec ces nuages bien dessinés et immenses. Un cadrage judicieusement décentré.
