Photographer’s Note
For our honeymoon, we took a cruise around the Caribbean, including a trip into Gatun Lake via the Panama Canal. We got to the canal just before sunrise, and not wanting to miss the entrance into the lock, I snuck out onto the balcony to take some pictures. We had a cabin on the port side, so we got a good view of the sunrise over the mist covered jungle. It was amazing to watch the sunlight illuminate the low hanging mist in between the low hills along the canal. Then my wife woke up and proclaimed that it sounded like there was a bulldozer in the room...she wasn't happy. Great pictures though!

Hi David, this picture has great colour and I love the trees poking through the mist. But there's a bit too much darkness in the foreground for my liking as well as some lens flare. Maybe cropping the bottom third of the shot to creat a panoramic effect would have more impact.

What a beautiful shot. The way the light differs over the tops of the trees and ridges is fantastic. Great pov and tones. Well done! casper
p.s. Have done a workshop as Johnathan suggested! I think I agree with him!!
