Photographer's Note

A young girl walks away from the visitors in her village. These are the Emberá Indian people of eastern Panama. They live in these palm-thatched huts, and wear very colorful clothing. Their village, although remote, and reachable only by canoe, do have electricity, with some other modern conveniences.
