Photographer’s Note

The skyline of the modern area of Panama City. This was taken around half way along the sea front road between the modern business district and the beautiful old district of San Felipe. There is such a huge contrast between the two areas. Shortly after taking this picture a local guy approached us and offered to be our guide. He wasn't official and going by the state of his teeth he was homeless aswell. But despite better judgement we still let him show us around the area. As it turned out this was a good idea. The fish market despite all the smells and strange looks was very interesting. Panama city with its modern development and wealth was a welcome break from the rigours of Central American travel.
