Heavy rain poured dwon from the sky in buckets and buckets. Some parts of the market were able to deal with the large influx of water, some where not. This section of the market became flooded from the water due to its low elevation. Water came up to 15 centimeters at places. With garabage floated along with dropped food and vegitables, some people still waded through the mess.

I really like your Nicaragua series. They show real life scenes, very expressive

I love the angle that you've used for this. That, and the drenched subject, and the streaks of rain caught make it a fantastic shot.

Great shot! I like the POV and rain fall.

Hi Mark, wonderfull photo, i like the little man expression. He's young but determinated.
The tilt adds dinamism.

I like the camera angle and the way you've captured the rain drops. This reminds me of a rainy day I spent at a flooded market on the Thai-Burma border.

Everything shouts action in this picture. Very good shot.

Very good action shot! You can really see the rain pouring down. I know how difficult is to capture such an action scene. You got it exactly right with the tilt and the person on the left side of the photo. What ISO have you used?

I love this shot, very near to my favorite of yours : raindrops always appeal to me.. I hate to see it so little commented, c'mon people get your fingers out and hit that keyboard. I'm beginning to think many have bad or worse, NO taste (Don't anyone ever reply to this critique saying I'm an arrogant b*stard. I know I AM but whoever writes it should have rather commented this pic first...).
Slant, composition and color darkness everything is perfect... except that noise on the grey areas of his t-shirt. Have you got a religion about not using fast speed settings?

This one is great. I sense spirit of "City of God" movie by Fernando Meirelles, with a little bit of "Blade runner" (I don't know why exactly, probably caused by this constant raining). In general - great one.

Luko is right, this is a superb shot, but who can comment on all shots worth commenting, it certainly isn't me, I have no time nor desire to make a full time job out of it.
Is it the best of you latest images, well that's a matter of taste, IMO it sure is one of the best because of the tilt adding to the atmoshpere, as well as rain and colours, and the soaked boy.

Luko is absolutely right, Mark. I simply had not seen it but it is a fabulous shot, the tilt just perfect, the down-looking angle, the light (flash!) falling just so on his skin, and that basket in the left hand corber somehow anchoring the compo. Superb! Francis

besides two photos that I comented this one is really into my favourites...
I love the atmosphere that raindrops are giving...you can almost hear the sounds...
I like that you caught them...
and besides that the view of camera and choosing the frame is perfect... the diagonal constructed this way is making the whole picture very dinamic...
i really like it

Yup. Beautiful. The rain looks so lush here and the lighting gives a gorgeous mood. The patterns of the reflections in the water are beautiful, nice tilt, etc etc. Shirt looking really good in this monochrome setting. All good.
