[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
On the A2, that connects the west with Kingston, there is a six kilomters long part, between the villages Middle Quarters and Lacovia, which is called Bamboo Avenue. Huge bamboo plnts are growing towards eachother from both sides of the road and form a magic natural tunnel with extraordinairy light.
The A2 is not to busy with traffic here as you can see. We were coming out of the mountains from Ys Falls and were heading for reasure Beach on the Southcoast.

Bonjour Gerrit

Hi Gerrit a bit poor of quality, but with a fantastic depth of field under the bamboo tunnel!
good colours too and beautiful light.
thansk, ciao

Hello Gerrit,
A very nice perspective down this bamboo lined road. Some interesting light and shadow play; whilst the cyclists add a splash of contrasting colour. Very good light and clarity.

Hi Gerrit, well I'd say it's kind of "natural tunnel" you caught here, well exposed, and with a human touch in the compo, TFS, Daniel

Hi Gerrit

I like the dappled lighting of sunlight and shadows, on the road. The overlapping bamboo nicely frames the scene. Good lead in lines from the road, with superb colour & sharpness. Tfs!

The huge bamboos certainly make an effective tunnel across the road. The perspective composition works well to carry the eye through the scene, which is enhanced by the stripy light filtering through the bamboo. Well done
Kath

Hello Gerrit

Groeten,
John.

Hi Gerrit,
A fantastic light for sure under this bamboo tunnel, and you show it well with no OE . The sharpness an textures are well rendered. Nice zebra stripes on the tarred road!
Greetings
Laurent

Like the tunnel, great view in soft brown and green tones. Well captured
Best wishes,

Bonjour Gerrit,
Regards.
Daniel.

Hi Gerrit,
Clever capture of the distant cyclist peddaling under a magnificent tropical canopy of green. The colors and details are excellent to go along with the wonderful depth to this fine image.

The bamboo plants make a wonderful archway for the road. The exposure could possibly be turned down a half stop. Nicely done

hi geerit
it must be very pleasant to stroll in bicycle under that bamboos, i would have liked the bicycle closer.

best regards
bon w.e

Olá Gerrit, I've been missing great Jamaica photos in your gallery. This A2 is fantastic and quite diferent from the A2 (highway) in Lisbon :)) Looks like an enchanted avenue. Although the sharpness isn't the best (problably because of the compression of all these leaves), I love the textures.
Groet,
ricardo

Gerrit,
what a nice natural tunnel effect with the bamboo covering the whole road. Are the people on the bikes your family?
Peter

Ola Gerrit,

Hi Gerrit, A wonderfully created natural arch, you capture it very well from your chosen POV, I like the use of the cyclists going into the depths & adding interest, the light is well managed &, overall well composed, kind regards Wilson.
