Yes, I'm sure that's what it was. Well, maybe not.
But we were there, bumping along in the back of a 4WD vehicle, touring the Jamaican countryside, when this little boy started chasing us, trying to hand me this flower. A few seconds later, a slightly older girl joined him, also running as fast as she could run, and she was FAST! I leaned out the back trying to grab the flower, but the driver wasn't happy about the children chasing us and sped up. :(
I know they were trying to get money, but I still found it sort of charming. And it's good to see that "Taz" is also popular in Jamaica. :)
This wasn't an easy shot to take, since we were bouncing and moving so fast, AND I wanted to reach the flower, so I snapped it quickly. I love the boy's shadow running ahead of him.
No significant PP work done. Just the usual adjustments. |

Hello Gayle,
Not only is the shadow running ahead, the kid is really flying. Good capture from a bumpy 4WD.
Best wishes,
Gert

The picture is really nice, but also shows the real situation of local people, that makes always a personal conflict publishinh it.

Hello Gayle,
this is very story telling photograph. Very educational and have a touch of human here. It contains the human element and make the picture very compelling, with the boy's facial expression and his jump.
Photographically, the perspective is very nice, the path leading to inner side of the village.
the light play is also very exciting.
Thanks for sharing - nice depiction of A village in Jamaica.
regards,
Foozi
