[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Categorizing this shot as nature is a bit of a stretch because, although created by nature, Jamaica's Dunn's River Falls have been overtaken by man. Find my best description of the place with my previous shot here.

Last time out I spent the day climbing and grabbed a couple snapshots. I returned this time in full photographer mode, tripod in tow. This is my favourite of the bunch, if not for the photo itself then for the effort of making it happen.

======================
The falls are literally crawling with people when cruise ships are in port. This people-free shot is comprised of 5(!) different ones taken back to back as the people climbed. I then spent a fair bit of time in PSP "removing" people as I filled in pieces of background from layered shots. In the end, I hope to have captured a little more of the natural side of Dunn's River Falls.

The text in you note was exactly what I was thinking by seeing your titel and picture.
Amazing one can make such a beautiful picture in the middle of hundreds of (***) tourists :)

Great shot!

Greetings Kai,
This is a beautiful shot. What a lovely place.... Excellent PSP work!!!
Cheers,
Mo

Hi,
A minor correction - they are Dunn's River Falls. I grew up in Jamaica and went there often, long before it was a tourist attraction. The main challenge here is to get a picture of the falls without crowds of people scrambling all over. Your result is excellent. Just the right speed to blur the water perfectly. Nice balance of colours.

Tere Kai!
It is lovely composition with good soft light,
Great point of view, I like the idea - captured with the longer exposure! Well done!
You have a nice gallery in TE! I say "tere" because you have estonian name.

imre

Fabulous shot Kai, you have gone to extraordinary lengths to bring us this view of a scene which you rightly say is normally crawling with people. Thanks for taking the time and effort.

Dave.

Hi Kai,
This is an excellent photo of a photogenic Falls. Like the fact trhat you used a slow shutter speed. I would like it even more if I were there!
I had the pleasure of climbing these very falls back in 1973 and I hope to return one day.

Allo Kai,

Très belle photo.

Wonderful place, well selected time - 1/3s seems to suit pretty well.

The mystic falls - I enjoy this photo, a real expression of living, intellectually nature!
