[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Ms.Florence, an elder of Jamaica. Like many of the elders, close 100yrs.,I could see the years of strength in her body. Though many can't see due to cateracts this woman had steady hands and a clear voice. Her memory was specific and she knew my step father and how they were related, She was also the only Jamaican that insisted on recieving money for just passing through her countryside. We obliged and I said she had the best hat I'd ever seen in Jamaica. That hat has a long history.

Really moddy character. I like the look of this woman, he's really interesting and appealing.

I'm a bit disturbed by the metallic surface reflection just behind her. It spoils a bit the nice tones of the picture.

Really great lively portrait. When I look at your picture my ears are opening to better hear the sound.

Jamaica should be colourful place... I like that I can see it in this picture

Any picture of a powerful matriarch rates thumbs up for me. This one is even more special because of her expression and because also a little bit of her surroundings is included to suggest her circumstance. Your story is also very wonderful.

this has to be rewarded as one of very few good photos from Jamaica. How is it that good photographers all go to India and crap ones ( including myself at the time ) to Jamaica?
