Photographer’s Note
The third in this series shows ongoing work (funded by the Inter-American Development Bank) to reinforce the shoreline and reconstruct the St. Thomas main road. One wonders, especially without mangrove planting, how long this effort will withstand stronger hurricanes and sea-level rise.
In the background are the White Horses limestone cliffs and, proecting into the sea, the edge of the Yallahs Satponds.

salut mary
une photo qui fait rêver de vacances avec une couleur d'eau d'un bleu magnifique, longue vue sur la plage avec les rochers du premier plan qui donne de la profondeur a ton cadrage, il manque juste un personnage pour donner de la vie a ta photo

Hello Mary,
In spite of light tilt on the right (horizon which is not right…), I like much the depth of the image and the balance which the tree in the photograph brings. Lights not easy but which you managed well. Very pleasant wild coast, thank you Mary.
With all my friendships and with soon,

Hello Mary!
Beautiful seaside location, beautiful landscape photo! Great framing and composition, great light managment, nice, "natural" colours! If I could say that there is something "missing" then that's a strong focal point, something to attract the viewer's glance immediately. Still, a beautiful photo!

Ciao dear MAry,
another beautiful photo, appreciable above all for the pleasant brightness and the perfect sharpness. I like a lot the stones in the FG that enrich the image and give a good depth. Excellent composition, compliments!

ciao Mary,
io che vivo in una zona di mare guardo sempre con piacere scene del genere.
Un'ottima composizione con i massi in FG a dare profondità all'immagine.
Perfetta definizione.

Bonjour
une photo superbe avec des couleurs estivales, un cadrage excellent avec le c^oté végétation sur la droite et laissant la place à cette mer bleue, ce ciel egalement bleu et ces gros "galets" en premier plan avec un petit mouvement de vague bien capté

Oh wow, I see that your frames are really unobtrusive. In fact, while they help to distinguish your photos from the rest of the site map, I can see that you've chosen harmonious colors and simple outlines. Very nice. Judy

Hello Mary,
A great composition of this beautiful coastline. I like the low point of view and the use of the foreground rocks to give a sense of depth. Lovely colours, especially that turquoise sea, and excellent sharpness. Thanks for sharing.

dear Mary,
fore pastel colored rocks are impressive, like sweets.
and the blue seascape is light-ful,
this blue shows us actually two tones, and another blue of the sky makes beautiful contrast with those in this view.
of course, right deep green tree is basic to support blues.
thank you for your excellent blues picture,
Akihisa

Hello Mary.
This jamaican seascape is wonderful.
I see just a little bit of contrast in excess under the tree, but it's not important.
The horizont could be straightened a bit too, but it's simple to do. :-)
It's anyway a charming shot, I like it.
Kind regards.
Bobo.

Bonjour Mary,
une très belle vue de ces plages bien naturelles mais cettefois moins turbulentes et je dois avouer que j'aime mieux l'atmosphère de la photo précédente, plus singulière.
Amicalement.
Daniel.

Hello Mary,
This photograph stood out, for me, because of its fine diagonal composition and its clear cut lines.
Your low pov adds great interest through the inclusion of the textured stones.
Excellent light and saturation.
Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Hello Mary,
The new format of this site is interesting. I was looking at your gallery and I saw your 3 photos about vulnerability. Directly with no hesitation, this one was the one I prefer. The new format is interesting because I have not been influenced by the number of point which is not visible in the gallery.
Clearly, the stones in the foreground make this choice, different and soft colors, nice shape. The other part of the scene is well done with a nice ocean
Regards,
Eric.
