Here you see a fisherman with the giant merlin he has caught with the boat you see in the background.
It was quite a struggle he told us and the man had to put a sack around the fish its sword to protect him from getteing injured while pulling him abord,

Allô Gerrit!
Une belle image qui nous fait rêver, et dire qu'ici nous sommes en pleine tempête de neige mais ce qui me console c'est que nous partirons pour un mois au début mars pour un pays plus chaud. La dernière fois que j'ai vu un gros poisson semblable c'est au Costa Rica.
Le paysage et les couleurs sont fantastiques, la qualité d'image est là aussi.

Wonderful shot and great note to accompany the image. Your photo gives excellent clues about ocean life and unexpected size of animals. The nature at background is amazing with white foamed waves, green textures and fishermen. Reflections of fishermen on wet sand are wonderful. Congratulations.

I've been chasing these mighty fish for the past forty years, the difference for me is, we release the fish after we catch them.
Wonderful daily life capture, the fisherman and his catch. Lovely saturated colours, an excellent POV and composition.

Bonjour,
belle photo de ces pecheur qui ramène une jolie prise, récompensé de leurs peche ils vont enfin pouvoir nourirent leurs familles.
L' ensemble de la photo est très belles, très nette, bien colorée.
Les détails comme les réflections sur le sable mouillé et les détails de ce poisson.( espadon peut etre ou requin épée?)

Ik denk dat de meeste visser hier even slikken wanneer ze dergelijke vis zien op het droge.
Het is een prachtie sfeer foto op het strand samen met de visser en de vis.

Should be a great experience for you to see this type of fish in Port Maria beach, honestly don't know if you get to see marlin fishes in the Baltic Sea. Your shot is very good and explanatory, good POV, colors, sharpness and frame.

Wow! It is a little Blue Marlin, Gerrit. I caught two in my life and I will never forget it. If you read Ernest Hemingway you will understand what I mean. We are now in the season and this fish is always the great target, the dream. Nice to see that these guys caught it in such a small boat, but it is Jamaica, and the fishes are close to the island. We use to release this beauties, but I also can understand that guys killing their fish. Its a very nice capture! TFS!
