Photographer's Note

The Serge Island/Belvedere dairy herd in the eastern Jamaica parish of Jamaica is one of the largest in the island. I was passing the lush, expansive fields at around noon last Sunday. The weather was perfect and I found most of the animals resting in the shade of the hedgerow trees. In the background -- on the sea side of the main road -- you can see a part of Belvedere's extensive coconut palm grove. (Note: No PP except for the addition of a frame.)

I like the rural scene that your photo has impressed upon its viewer. Nice capture of the surrounding in its natural colors. Yes its siesta time for these cattles.

Hello Mary ,
I like a lot cows , and i enjoy to see this ones, in the green lush scenery . It seems that we can see this kind of cattle in France or in Spain .
May be a little lack of sharpness ? I make a WS .
