Photographer's Note
I won't miss an opportunity to post a tribute to Bob Marley here in TE (although I'm not completely satisfied with this scan and PP).
Bob Marley (1945-1981) lived at this house at 56 Hope Road, Kingston, Jamaica. Many of his famous songs were recorded at the studio he built in the courtyard. It was also here that an assassination attempt took place in 1976, he was shot and wounded.
COLORS: It's actually the colourful fence that grabbed my attention in this shot. It it easy to see that his favorite colors were red, green and yellow. Even the vegetation here seems to have these colors. Marley made these colors so famous that they are sometimes associated with Jamaica, and some people believe these are the colors of the Jamaican flag (it’s the Ethiopian flag, in fact, that has these colors).
FAVORITE QUOTE: He was, of course, fiercely anti-establishment but he observed: “It’s not we against the system, it's the system against we!”
THE LEGEND: The Marley legend is alive, just a couple of months ago 300,000 gathered in Ethiopia to mark the date of what would have been his 60th birthday (appropriately, they did so in a sea of red, green and yellow).
IN THE WORKSHOP: A close up of the statue – and you’ll also discover what was Bob’s favorite sport!

Nice mix of colours in this interesting pictures. The colours of Jamaica are well mixed, although the light seems a bit strong.
Anyway you managed to work well with it.
Good job!

Hi daniel
A wonderful offbeat shot, & with marvellous color. Perhaps I would reduce contrast. The highlights look slightly washed out. Excellent sharpness & framing. Tfs!

I have to agree that the quality isn't the best but remember the TE main objective and this fulfills that big-time. It's quite funny how they even chose the plants to match the Bob Marley colours.

This is very nicely done.A very apt picture for TE i should say. Your WS also reveals nice info.Though not that good in quality, this is high in the sense of delivery.
