[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A weekly chore is to press the sugar cane growing in the yard. It is one of many refreshing sweet fruit concentrates, mixed with rainwater.

The black containers are rainwater storage containers, found in most back yards, if afforded.There are very few drilled wells in Jamaica. There is piped water systems from damned rivers but often they are at a distance and often lack water which is redirected to the seasonal peaks of the hotel industries.

I like this picture. Quite an interesting machine. I remember chewing on sugarcane when I was a kid. Wonderful stuff.
The picture is nicely done with the exception of being cropped too much on the bottom and left side.
A very nice presentation of daily life!
