Photographer’s Note

Domino is the game to play in Jamaica (and the rest of the Antilles). It is played in teams of two and they are playing with their own conventions and tactics.It is a serious business.
The man on the right looking very white is not a tourist but one of the German ancisters of the immigrants thet came from northern Germany in 1835.
In the ws you see the interior of the bar where these guys were playing outside and a lot more Jamaicans with 'European' features. Out of many, one people.

A very good capture of these domino players all intent with concentration on the game. I like the half light which adds much to the atmosphere. Interesting note.

Remplir les journées, les soirées, occuper les jambes, les têtes, les mains, les ventres, les yeux !
J'aime beaucoup l'ambiance restituée à travers ces compositions.
Le jeu de dominos est un excellent moyen de se réunir et de se retrouver entre amis.

Great daily life scene, so common in the islands of the Carribean, I 've seen it many times in Cuba. Not excellent, techically speaking, but very interesting!

Een verrassende serie van Jamaica. Drie foto's met bewoners en nog geen gebouw of landschap is ongewoon in je oeuvre. Maar een terechte keuze, want het zijn prachtige foto’s
Boeiend te zien hoe deze Jamacanen opgaan in hun spel.

A nice shot of the locals playing Domino, something that is very popular in The Dominican Republic, and as you said it's a serious business. The man on the left have a good hand, many 6, if he play well will win.
Very good daily life shot, good POV, colors and frame.

une photo 100% TE, des conditions de prise de vue pas faciles, je pense notamment aux lumières.
Les sujets n'ont pas l'air perturbés par le photographe.
