[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This photo is taken at Negril Beach just seconds before a huge torrential downpour that lasted two hours. Jamaica is a very lively colourful place that is great for the photographer. Not only that, Negril has a famous 7-mile beach and lots of all inclusive resorts. Most of the locals display their crafts on the beach for everyone to see. The wood carvings are an excellent buy and so are the straw bags (although I would go to the craft market in Montego Bay for these). Negril has big market with a great selection of items. The market is found easily walking up the beach or the road to town just before you go over the bridge.

Nice picture, I love the sky, I would give you points but.... i don't know how to do it.

so lively, colourful. You can sense the storm coming. Brilliantly framed.

The contrast between cloudy sky and vivid colors of the rest of the scene is very interesting. The atmosphere of coming threatment is felt on the picture.

Its a pity about the netting in the foreground. The colors are great, but there are streaks in the sky (was it from the scanning?).

Trully a great and colourful composition.
A minor problem is the net in the background but i believe you will find a way to get rid of this ;-)

Great photo Cathy! The contrast between the grey stormy clouds and the vivid colors is fantastic! I almost feel the wind that shake the palm trees and the clothes!

Miss a bit the post-processing.

I've posted a workshop to increase the sharpness and turned the colors more vivid.

This is a great shot. I've been here and this picture shows the calm mood that we can live in negril's beach. It’s a very good composition with ice colours against the grey sky. Congratulations.

Nice photo Cathy but sure seems like a hell of a storm coming!!
I recall having been on this lovely beach back in 1973 when there were no hotels or resorts. The only action back then were the people living in that area and smoking pot. We were were asked to join them but we refused because we wanted to make it back to Canada.
Jamaica is such a beautiful island and I hope to return one day to see all the changes that have occured in the past 30 or so years.

Very nice photo. I like its not oversaturated natural colours and the stormy sky is great too. We can really feel the storm coming in this photo. Well done!
