Floating down the Rio Grande, I noticed this man pulling a bamboo raft back up to the starting point for another float, an eight mile pull!

What a muscles and strength! Nice composition! Bagus Sekali :)

Superbe prise. L'éclaboussure de l'eau est jolie. On lit l'effort sur le visage. On ne sait pas ce qu'il fait, mais on voit que c'est ardu!

Good DOF and very sharp!

An impressive picture. But, a crop on the left side could have made this picture stronger..

great shot...hard work personified..!!

Technically, i really like it, the skin of the man is really well-defined against the background, you also took it at the right moment, there is no mistaking a moment of arduous effort, and we really get inside the picture to witness that. There seems to be something off with the framing, but i am not sure what, maybe indeed you could have "cut" it off as a sculpture, with as little background and space around him as possible?

but it's a very impressive image, anyway, and well shot.

Joseph
Great capture
There are so much emotions in here and there is a great capture of movement (physical)
I made a WS to get it out more
I hope you like it
Ishai

Yes, it would also be good to see what is the reason for his struggle, ie the raft.
But a great photo nevertheless.

Excellent shot. But the crop could be better. I think the BW can increase the power of this kind of pictures.

Great shot, All so well defined. The workshop is excellent, even with colour the tighter crop makes a big difference to the shot. Anyway well captured.

great shot. good light management and well composed.
like the WS too.
thanks, Arnab

Beautiful shot. All the fatigue and the force of the man are in great evidence. Good timing. I am agrre with Wisat about the crop and I like also very much the workshop of Ishai

Good situational photograph; well composed, though I agree with a previous posting--it might look better with some cropping

Powerful picture with a gooc composition.
Really good.

Hi,
Immer nach vorne...

Wow, you can almost feel how hard he's pulling on the ropes! The lighting is bright but the contrasts and shadows created further emphasize the strain he experiences under the hot sun. Great composition too, I like the way he fills up the center of the space, thanks for sharing! -Lara

Hi joe,

Nice capture...however blurring out the back ground and a conversion to B/W would do a better job of brining out the man's strain...will do a WS for this one... oops i didnt see the earlier ws

The skin color, expression of the man, and the tenseness of his muscles give great impression. Perhaps cropping a bit on the front and showing (part of) the raft would be another possibility.
