Photographer’s Note

This is the fishing harbour of Alligator Pond. The fishing boats are just barks for two men so they can be just pulled on the beach by arrival. The wooden constructions on the right side form the fishmarket and there is also a fish restaurant.
Only locals here - no tourists. That's Jamaica's southcoast: unexplored.

Well composed shot with the beach leading the eye through the shot. The little girl adds a nice human touch to the shot as well as adding a sense of scale. The lighting and colors are great with excellent sharpness and detail.

Een zeer mooi landschap en een vredige plaats. Het vooruitzicht is zeer mooi en de goed opgenvangen kleuren. De mensen op de beach geven een mooi element van leven aan de iamge.

apesar de nãos er das praias mais bonitas, gostei dessa foto, parece ser a verdadeira essência do local. Interessante a maneira como a garota olha para você. Boas cores na foto.

Good shot showing the simple life these people lead, doesn't look like they suffer too much from stress or anxiety. I like the beach scene with the tropical sky overhead, good colours too. Your POV and composition make an interesting and pretty capture.

It's funny to see the little girl staring at you. Probably for the reason you state; she is not accustomed to tourists. Up-the-beach views like this always work well compositionally, because the shoreline makes a superb lead-in. Another good shot in your Jamaica series.

I'll bet this is a great place to enjoy a fish dinner in this lovely unpretentious setting.
Love the rolling white surf lapping on the sand beach and how the blue sky contrast so wonderfully with the lush green tropical hills.

Een goed beeld met mooi perspectief. Ik hou van het meisje dat in de voorgrond staat en naar je kijkt. En de mensen die vissen en wandelen geven een goede idee van het dagelijkse lewen. Misschien is het hemel een bietje te blauw, maar dit is net mijn persoonlijke smaak.

Very interesting to learn about Jamaica from this photo.

A nice blue sky and sunny day for fishing. The beach is clean. So what did you do here beside shooting with a camera? No fishing or swimming?
