Photographer’s Note
Beautiful landscape awaits the avid traveller for sunshine and beach.
Real pleasure in this perfect setting.
But, actually, it's Haiti, the poorest country in the hemisphere.
Labadee is a port located on the northern coast of Haiti. It is a private resort leased by Royal Caribbean International. Royal Caribbean International has contributed the largest proportion of tourist revenue to Haiti since 1986, employing 300 locals, allowing another 200 to sell their wares on the premises, and paying the Haitian government US$6 per tourist. ref: en.wikipedia.org

Hello Yan,
Thank you for this well-composed view of another side of poor Haiti. Thanks also for your note. I hope Royal Caribbean's contribution is as positive as you make it sound.
Regards,
Mary

Hello Yan,
This reminds me of Graham Greene's novel set in Haiti, not because of any similarities but rather the opposite (The Comedians)..!
A well framed view to the emerald water, all set in this lush peaceful surroundings...
Greetings,
Pablo -
