Lobster fishing Photo

Photographer’s Note

Dugouts are common for every kind of fishing in Haiti. This man was bringing his lobster cages out to sea.
This shot was taken from near surface-level of the water. I was holding the camera with a 28mm wide-angle lens over my head.

Splendid colours.
As minority..I like less that the face of the man is not very visible, but the rest is good.

Beautiful photo with the dramatic sky, the shape and colour of the boat.
I am glad the Haitians have at least goyt the sea to survive on.

Hi Helmut, the light and sky are magic. The POV is very good. I like the way the man looks at you but he isn't realy visible himself.

Great low POV, there are many pictures on here of traditional fishermen from all over the world, but i think this is one of few that I have seen that are a little more individual, very nice. Great colours and composition also.

Excellent photo! POV makes this picture wonderful, the lighting is interesting and the fisher is a good detail as it adds some liveliness. Because of those clouds this photograph is kind of dramatic which I think is necessary for making this shot unique. If the sky was clear blue this picture would look more like a usual photo from some kind of a travel guide.

Really impressive photograph.
