Photographer’s Note
In a ravine below Petionville all the people in a crowded slum go to a ditch to bathe, wash their clothes and get drinking water.

Interesting and outstanding picture. Every picture tells a story; this is one of them. Well done, Albrecht

A little busy, hah... I would have chosen a particular object, but the overall idea is well trasmitted.

Wow! this is crazy! The photo is good but the subject is the real star. There is so much to look at. Almos hard to comprehend. JP

I could not believe my eyes when look at this picture closely. I have been at some places where people live in extreme low condition of life. But not to this extent, where "we" lost the shyness and shame while witnessing our brother in front of us nake.
How far is the gap between our human kind and animal from this reportage?
Thanks for giving us such a realty in our civilized world.
Regards,
Thanh

I love this photo for two reasons. First, I have also been to this particular stream, and so this photo brings back strong memories of naked children bathing and women drying their laundry on the mountain side. Second, although there is no real focus in the picture, it shows things as they are...nothing is hiden. I would've liked to see more of a vertical shot instead of horizontal, which would've emphazed the creek a little more.
