[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is a repost of the original image, this time from a scanned negative instead of a re-photographed print. I realized that the hand of the Market Woman reaching out was cut out of the frame, and the image is sharper.

The Port-au-Prince slum area, Bel Air, where even the UN blue helmets were afraid to go, at a time when I was unconcerned about being robbed or killed.

Hi Helmut, I love the choice of camera. One day I will buy a proper one too!

What I like: So much better than the first post! The grain and textures in this shot are wonderful. It is a great subject too.
What I don't like so much: The framing is what stops this shot from being a classic, there slight clipping of the posters (top left)and the ladies at the edge (looking OUT of the frame - I'd love to know what they are looking at!!).

Immensely brave to have got this shot!
