Just before the village of Chiqui, 20 km east of Santa Cruz del Quiché, I saw this Mayan Sheperd girl running with her sheep as though she was in a balletperformance.

Hi Gerrit, ballet performance at the countryside seems great ;-)) I love the landscape, with the yellows in foreground, the bright trees and the layers in the very background. The composition is excellent and the capture of the running girl is very nice. Excellent shot!

I like the great resistance that you have obtained in this photo, with the warm tones of the field and the trees, that they seem very dry, and background with the strips of mountains in a good range of grays.
The sheeps and the little shepherdgirl give a very likeable touch to the scene.

Hello Gerrit.
This is a great expanse of browns that you show. The girl running (seems she is running away from the sheep) makes the photo. It adds a sense of drama, she is running away looking over her shoulder. I saw in your comments that you said she was running with the sheep, but it doesn't neccessarily look like she runs with them.
