Photographer’s Note
We visited many of the infamous 17th and 18th century ruins in Antigua on our visit to Guatemala last February. This image is special to me because it contrasts the ancient and long since collapsed architectural expertise of man with the simple beauty of fresh and new growth every spring as seen here in the gorgeous blue blossoms.

Beautifully done!! The colors, detail and the lovely flowers in the foreground are just wonderful. It is almost automatic to spot shots done with a Nikon camera. WELL DONE! TFS... Shelly

Hi Gerald,
Love the old architecture against the rich blue sky! Like the tree in the foreground too, is it a Jacaranda? Looks like a beautiful old building, well done. :-)
Cheers Tina

Nicely captured. That building appears to be the former residence of Bernal Diaz del Castillo, the conquistador who wrote an eyewitness account of the conquest of Mexico. I like the angle you shot that from. The pic I took when I was there last July is very underwhelming compared to yours.

Hi Gerald,
The deep cloudless blue sky and lovely tree blossoms add a special touch to these impressive Central American ruins.
Regards, Tom
